- Short biography: Hande received her PhD from Maastricht University in 2015. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Economics Department of Lund University, Sweden between 2015-2017. She joined the Department of Econometrics and Operations Research of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as an assistant professor in September 2017. Her primary research field is econometric theory. Her research interests particularly include panel data econometrics, estimation and inference in cross-sectionally dependent panel data models, and predictive panel regressions. She is interested in applications of econometric theory to the areas of economics and climate change.
